EMPOWER Yourself and Your FAMILY Spiritually

A few years ago, as my oldest children were entering the teenage years, I was worried about "losing" them Spiritually. There wasn't any current concern, but just a fear that as they got older that someday, they would give in to peer pressure and Satan's influence and go astray. Then one day at church we had a lesson about Empowering ourselves and our families. A few of these following items were stated. I decided to expound upon them and came up with this list. I printed this out and taped it onto my kitchen refrigerator!

Ways to Empower yourself against the influences of Satan

• ·       Love the Lord, our Savior Jesus Christ
• ·       Listen to and follow the prompting of the Holy Spirit
• ·       Saying Personal and Family prayers
• ·       Always keep a prayer in your heart
• ·       Seek and Stay worthy of the Holy Spirit
• ·       Hold weekly Family Home Evening/Family Meetings
• ·       Do genealogy / family history work
• ·       Have good friends
• ·       Have family and personal scripture study
• ·       Participate in the programs of your church
• ·       Attend all church meetings (and Attend the Temple for LDS Members)
• ·       Read church/Christian/good literature
• ·       Be kind to others

• ·       Stay out of or get out of bad situations quickly
• ·       Do not entertain unrighteous thoughts 

It is my goal to Live Life Feeling EMPOWERED Physically, Mentally, Emotionally, and Spiritually!
