Weight Loss Tips: The last thing before going to bed....

I have a desired weight and a maximum weight that I don't like to get above, about a 10 lb difference. I reached that maxium weight. So I am going to spend the next few weeks trimming back those 10 extra pounds. I started a week ago and already lost 3 pounds. My goal is to lose 7 more before Thanksgiving! (So I can eat without guilt!)

Disclaimer: I am not a doctor and I make NO claims. This is just my story and what works for me.

TIP: I don't eat after 5pm. Except for at 9pm/10pm, before I go to bed, I eat a tablespoon of raw honey. I read a blog a few years ago that explained that eating an early dinner and then a tablespoon of raw honey before bed on an empty stomach HELPS the body to lose weight. This post said that the raw honey levels the blood sugar and pacifies the hunger pangs. It also helps cleanse the liver and lets your body burn fat while you sleep. Sleep is good!

TIP: I read in a book that the best way to eat a clean diet to lose weight is to not eat more than 5g of sugar in one meal, including natural sugars, and not to eat more than 15g a day. I also eat, but I don't eat more than one serving of potatoes OR grains a day, usually for lunch.

TIP: Meal replacement shake: I drink a meal replacement shake every morning before heading off to work. It's sugar free, dairy free, gluten free, soy free, & egg free. You can learn more about it HERE.

Other things I eat are soups, omletes, cooked vegetables, green salads, and a little meat or chicken. Sometimes I will eat a small bowl of our homemade granola made with sprouted 10-grain flour. Most importantly, I don't over eat. I eat one serving/plate and then walk away.

TIP: Exercise every day 10-40 minutes a day. I bounce on my Cellerciser 10-30 minutes a day, depending how much time I have available in the morning. It tightens and tones the muscles and it moves the lymphatic system.

TIP: Ask your loved ones that you live with not to sabatoge you! Self-dicipline is the most important factor. I know what I want and I will dicipline myself to get it. My husband made this most amazing apple pie Sunday evening. Yes I had some, but at least I didn't go back for seconds. He bakes low sugar and it was a whole grain crust so I didn't gain or lose.
