How HQO water saved my dog's life

This is my dog. Her name is Chazzy. This is her when we got her at 2 months old.

When she was 6 months old, she was bit or stung by something poisonous, maybe a snake or spider. We don't know what, but she was at death's door.

All of her muzzle and around her eyes were swollen, pussy, and bleeding. She wouldn't eat or drink. She was in pain and lethargic. Unfortunately, it happened on a Friday, the start of a weekend when the vet is closed. We thought at first that maybe it was a wasp sting and treated it as such with some benedryl which did nothing to help her.

It was much worse by Monday morning when we finally got her into the vet. He gave us an antibiotic  as a precautionary but said that if the poison doesn't kill her, kidney failure will if we can't get her to eat and drink.

The first few days we just gave her yogurt with a Q Pets mashed up and stirred in it. At least we knew we were getting some nutrition down her.

She wouldn't do the act of drinking so we had to use a syringe to squirt some HQO WATER level 2 with a pH of 8.6 into her mouth several times a day. We knew that Hydration was key to her survival and there is no better water that the anti-oxidant water from my HQO Machine.

The HQO water machine also makes Strong Acidic water 2.5 pH as well as strong Alkaline water 11.5 pH. We would clean her muzzle everyday with the acidic water so it didn't get infected. Then we would clean around her eyes with the strong alkaline water. The skin around her eyes was so so gross and need rinsed every day. She seemed to not react to either water, so it didn't cause her any additional pain, thank goodness.

After a few days of this, and she was showing signs of feeling better, we got some canned soft dog food and we were able to get her to eat some of that with the Q Pets vitamins stirred in it.

It took a couple weeks or so for her to act normal and a couple of months for her skin to return to normal. It was a very scary experience. I am so grateful that I have the benefits of the HQO Machine to help save her life and help her to heal!

S'mores Protein Granola Bars

S’mores granola bars

5 Cups rolled oats
2 Cups whole wheat flour
½ Cup raw sugar
½ Cup chopped pecans
2 Tbsp cocoa powder
1/4 tsp salt
2 scoops EQUIVALENT+ Here (chocolate or Vanilla protein shake mix or one scoop of each)

Mix in Kitchenaid Mixer on slow speed

In a separate stainless steel bowl:
1/3 Cup olive oil
1/3 Cup coconut oil
2/3 Cup honey
1 tsp vanilla
1 Tbsp molasses
¼ Cup butter

Melt over low heat and stir, cool to slightly warm (so as not to melt the chocolate chips when mixing), add to dry ingredients and mix until evenly mixed.

Add:  ½ - 3/4 Cup white chocolate chips
½ - 3/4 Cup dark chocolate chips (we like the mini semi-sweet)

Mix in
Add:  ¾ Cup Pear puree

Mix just until combined, but still “Loose”, not a clump of clay
Press into a lightly greased (or “olive-oiled”) 10 x 16 bar pan (or similar) using a large spoon, spatula, curved scraper, or whatever with a constantly-renewed light coating of olive oil so it doesn’t stick too much.  Cut now into desired serving sizes.

Bake at 375° for 10 minutes, then reduce to 350° and bake for another 20 minutes (we do convection bake at 350° for 10 min. then turn the pan around and bake at 325° for 10 then turn again for another 10).  Cool and eat.
